Brian Michael Bendis, the reigning top writer in comics, returns to KTCU-FM's Fanboy Radio Sunday night at 6 PM Central Time (7 ET, 4 PT). The writer of Ultimate Spider-Man, Daredevil, Powers, and Avengers will be on hand to discuss all of his current projects.

Scott Hinze, the host of the program, told Scoop Bendis is the most popular guest in the show's growing history.

“He is basically my listeners' and my favorite guest,” Hinze said. “I personally love his interviews because he is personable, articulate and is very well versed in FM talk banter.”

Likewise, Bendis said he has enjoyed being on the show previously and looks forward to this visit.

“It's one of a kind. It's fun to listen to. Scott and Oliver [Tull] are great hosts,” Bendis told Scoop.

Bendis, who notoriously enjoys tough question and answer sessions at his convention panels, will face some serious grilling from a generally very supportive Hinze on the subject of the “Avengers Disassembled” story arc.

“From what I've seen of this massive Marvel crossover that he's constructed (and I've read everyone that's come out), it seems sloppy, silly and more than a little selfish. I'm going to speak bluntly with Brian about my concerns as a hardcore reader and the gloves are definitely going to be off,” Hinze said.

“Bring it on,” Bendis said.

“Avengers Disassembled” included, Hinze still expects a great time for listeners and himself with Bendis on the one-hour program.

“The man is so utterly funny and smart that anything that comes out of his mouth is golden for the average Fanboy Radio listener,” he said.
