Crusade Fine Arts is set to release the first volume of The Definitive Shi, a 576-page black and white compilation that includes in the entire runs of The Way of the Warrior and Tomoe, by Billy Tucci, Peter Gutierrez, Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti. Also included in the book is writer Gary Cohn's critically acclaimed Senryaku series featuring artwork by superstars Jim Lee, Joe Quesada, Marc Silvestri, Frank Frazetta, George Perez, Adam Hughes and others. Definitive Shi also includes the two-part Rekishi illustrated by J.G. Jones

The first volume, subtitled “The Essential Warrior,” is scheduled to ship in March 2006 and it will be featured in the January 2006 Previews from Diamond Comic Distributors. It will retail for $24.99.

“The Definitive Shi is the ultimate collection for anyone who has enjoyed Shi or samurai- themed comic books in general,” Tucci said. “We've worked long and hard to produce an essential collection that, if dropped from a sufficient altitude, would most likely kill you.”
