For the fifth year in a row, all levels of the comic book industry are teaming up to present Free Comic Book Day (FCBD), the comic industry's biggest annual promotional event. This month, excitement for 2006's edition -- taking place on May 6 -- jumps into overdrive with the solicitation of FCBD comics, promotional items and advertising programs in the February Previews!

Free Comic Book Day is a chance to expand the number of the comic buying public. With promotion at the local level and the national level, participating comic book specialty stores give away comic books especially designed for this event. And this year's line up of giveaways proves yet again to have something for everyone.
