The Eternal Lady Death Joins CGC


Scoop has just learned that The Lady Death Universe, published through Avatar Press, and CGC collectibles grading company today have announced a deal which makes CGC the official grading service of the Lady Death Universe.

Brian Pulido the creator of Lady Death and over 100 other characters, including a new line of characters at Avatar Press. As the former President of Chaos! Comics, Pulido was the top selling independent comic publisher of the 1990s. Before comics publishing, Pulido worked as an assistant director in New York and Los Angeles, making music videos for brands as diverse as Kiss, Coca Cola and C&C Music Factory. Brian graduated New York University's School of Film and Television. He resides in the wilds of Arizona with his wife Francisca and his dogs Midnight and Raven, crafting a new vision to bring high quality, low budget filmmaking to Arizona and the rest of the world.

Avatar Press is a comic book publisher which has successfully carved a niche for itself as a company that pushes the boundaries between mainstream and independent by working with a diverse lineup of the best creators in comics including Brian Pulido, Alan Moore, Garth Ennis, Warren Ellis, Frank Miller, Joe R. Lansdale, and numerous others. Avatar has published creator-owned comics such as Joe R. Lansdale's The Drive-In, and David Quinn and Tim Vigil's 777: The Wrath, company-owned comics such as Pandora and The Ravening, television and movie licensed hits such as Frank Miller's Robocop and Stargate SG1, and long-running anthology title Threshold, among numerous other titles.
