Overstreet Unveils New Guide Covers
The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide, the definitive guide for comic collector and dealers alike, will return for its 39th edition in 2009, and it will be featured in the December issue of Previews from Diamond Comic Distributors. In addition to the most extensive pricing in the world of comics, this new edition will include a 70th anniversary look at Batman’s first year, an introduction to The Hero Initiative, and an amazing roster of new entries in The Overstreet Hall of Fame. The 39th volume of this widely acclaimed book features a choice of two covers in the Direct Market: a great modern interpretation of The Avengers #1 by John K. Snyder III (after the original by Jack Kirby and Dick Ayers) and a spot-on recreation of the classic All-Select Comics #1 by the legendary Murphy Anderson (after the original by Alex Schomburg). Retailers should note that the hardcover editions will be printed very close to order for CBPG #39.
