Borock became an important figure in third party certification of comics. He began working for Comics Guaranty Corporation as the Primary Grader when the company began in 1999. His knowledge of vintage comics and the trust he maintained with sellers and buyers both, cemented his reputation. He was quickly promoted to the president of CGC and remained there until late 2008.

While working at CGC Borock had the final say in what grade books received, providing honesty and fairness to the community of collectors and dealers. He is also a member of the Hero Initiative’s board, helping the non-profit charity help yesterday’s comic creators in medical and financial need.
