Boston Comic Con Now Two Days
|
New England’s largest comic book convention has set their dates. The Boston Comic Con will be held on April 4-5, 2009—two days this year! In its third year, the convention is a host to comic books, toys, posters, and more, in the 13,000 square foot facility of The Back Bay Events Center.
Marvel artist Jim Cheung, who works on Young Avengers, Iron Man, and Avengers: Illuminati will make his first appearance this year at the Boston Comic Con. Husband and wife, Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell, will be guests at the event. Fantasy art painters, Vallejo and Bell craft cover art for Marvel, DC Comics, and Image as well as create motion picture posters.
Legendary inker Dick Ayers, one of the founding members of the Marvel Bullpen will be attending the event for both days. Ayers has over six decades of experience with penciling, inking, lettering, and coloring. Fantastic Four, The Incredible Hulk, and Thor, are only some of his prestigious works. Fellow artist Paul Gulacy, who works on Batman, Terminator, Star Wars, and Catwoman will also be available to meet!
Newest to the guest list is Madman creator Mike Allred! Allred, creator of Red Rocket 7 and X-Statix, has had works that appeared in Mallrats and Chasing Amy.
