Joshua Jackson in Fringe Panel at NY Comic Con
|
On Monday New York Comic Con announced that actor Joshua Jackson will be at this weekend’s convention, taking part in the Fringe panel discussion on Sunday, February 8, 2009. The critically acclaimed sci-fi, thriller television show follows an FBI agent, FBI affiliate, and a doctor with a questionable reputation, working to solve mysterious crimes and unbelievable events. They delve into unrealistic occurrences that blur the line between what is possible and what becomes possible.
Fringe comes from J.J. Abrams (Lost), Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (the team behind Alias and Mission: Impossible III), along with executive producers Jeff Pinkner (Lost, Alias) and Bryan Burk (Lost, Alias). Airing on Tuesday nights at 9:00 PM EST on FOX, the show stars Jackson, former teen star of Dawson’s Creek and the Mighty Ducks films, as Peter Bishop; Anna Torv as Olivia Dunham, John Noble as Dr. Walter Bishop, Jasika Nicole as Astrid Farnsworth, Lance Reddick as Phillip Broyles, Kirk Acevedo as Charlie Francis, and Blair Brown as Nina Sharp.
The above listed actors will all be at the New York Comic Con for the Fringe panel. Due to the size of the cast appearing and the incredible fan response to the freshman series, NYCC will be moving the Fringe panel into their biggest room, the IGN Theater. It will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM, directly following the Dollhouse panel, featuring show creator Joss Whedon and Tahmoh Penikett (12:45-1:45 PM). Select members of the Fringe cast will be signing autographs immediately following the panel in the Autograph Area in the rear of the Exhibition Hall; the event will not be ticketed.
