EC Partners for New Film, TV Development

Joel Eisenberg and Timothy Owens' EMO Films has teamed with William M. Gaines Agent, Inc. to form a specialty division, EC Film, Radio and Television, Ltd. The new company will work to bring the stories of the EC comics library in to multiple media platforms.
The EC library, of course, includes titles such as Tales from the Crypt, Weird Science, and Two-Fisted Tales, among others, covering such genres as horror, science fiction, action-adventure, crime, humor, and drama.
Our good friend Cathy Gaines Mifsud, the daughter of legendary EC publisher and MAD magazine founder William M. Gaines, and Eisenberg brokered the deal. Her son, Corey Mifsud, has joined the new venture as Vice-President of Development.
William Gaines is widely considered one of the most influential figures in comic book history, and his father M.C. Gaines likewise was a giant in the field.
