This Hulk Was Made For Smashing
.html
First it was Daredevil: Yellow and then it was Spider-Man:
Blue.
Now the Hulk is going back to his roots in Hulk: Gray,
courtesy of the familiar creative team of writer Jeph Loeb and artist Tim
Sale.
This series is the third in the duo's "Marvel Spectrum" stories,
and it re-teams the popular creators, who have worked with much acclaim together
on Batman: The Long Halloween, Batman: Dark Victory, Superman
For All Seasons, Challengers of the Unknown, and other
projects.
Announced last year at the San Diego con, this limited series
debuts in October.
"What makes the Hulk so great is that in many ways his
behavior is childlike," Loeb told Scoop. "He's prone to incredible
(sorry) tantrums and operates on very base instincts. But, when you look at him
as a moral creature, it is not black and white -- in fact, those characters in
the story who do live in a black and white world are Ross and his army
who may turn out to be the biggest monsters of them all. We coupled this with
the beginnings of the love story between Bruce and Betty and then peppered it
with a lot of HULK SMASH -- and that's what's going to make it all
rock."
A seven-page preview of Hulk: Gray is included in Wizard
#144. Each issue of the series features a cardstock cover and retails for
$3.50.
