Christian Gossett's acclaimed comic book, The Red Star, is set for the big screen. Universal has agreed to produce the Soviet-set military/war drama. Timur Bekmambetov (Night Watch) will direct.

Marc Platt is producing via his Marc Platt Productions company along with Bekmambetov via his Tengri banner, Jim Lemley and Jason Netter. No writers have been announced and no production has been set.
