In all the excitement surrounding the news of Frank Miller signing on to helm a big screen adaptation of Will Eisner's The Spirit and Robert Rodriguez being tapped to take on a Barbarella remake, fans may not have taken time to calm, assess, and let sink in the fact that these two high-profile projects will inevitably slow the Sin City 2 filming process.

The sequel to the successful Miller/Rodriguez collaboration is still on; however, no start date had been set for its production even before the two directors took on other works.

When will we see the return of the noir, monochrome characters that riveted us lo those many months ago? Only time will tell.
