ACTOR (A Commitment to Our Roots) has recently announced the results of their 2003 Orlando MegaCon art auction, which was held on the weekend of February 28-March 2. And, the results were spectacular! Over $50,000 was raised during both the silent and live art auctions, which featured 190 lots donated by comic book writers and artists such as George Perez, Leonard Kirk and Alex Ross.

Among the highlights were an Alex Ross Earth X #7 painted cover, which sold for $2000, a George Pérez JLA/Avengers pinup/recreation, which sold for $1900, a Dale Keown The Darkness #1 cover, which sold for $1400, and a Jerry Ordway Thunder Agents pinup from Comic Book Artist magazine, which sold for $1250.

Things really got rolling, however, when ACTOR rolled out nine key props from the recent Daredevil movie. A film-used jacket sold for $3100, a film-used 25" billy club sold for $1800, a film-used 41" billy club/cane sold for $800, and a film-used holster sold for $750.
