James D. Julia Readies Spring Auction of Antiques and Fine Arts

This unsigned painting from the first half of the 19th Century perfectly showcases a different time in America.  

James D. Julia has just posted the images for their next auction at their website. The auction is large, over 1,000 lots. But the most impressive part may be the over 250 works from renowned American and European artists. In addition, gathered from various fine estates and collections, there will be several splendid furniture sets and individual pieces, numerous tall clocks, Oriental rugs, a large collection of pocket watches, an important Tennessee collection of prehistoric Indian artifacts, Flow Blue, silver, china, and much more.

This unsigned painting from the first half of the 19th Century perfectly showcases a different time in America.
 
This hand-colored etching, engraving and aquatint was done in 1833 by R.Havell on wove paper. It is done after Audubon.
 
A set of Four Currier and Ives farm scenes.

Another unsigned American painting from the 19th Century. It is titled “Jacob’s Dream."
 
This oil by Marshall Johnson Jr. (1850-1921), portrays a schooner heading out.
