Hake’s Americana & Collectibles Tunes In

Before the advent of television, families gathered around the household radio. While perhaps not as visually stimulating, radio programs certainly drew families in as sales of radio sets soared. Seeking to sell more sets, manufacturers lavishly detailed their radios, utilizing the art deco styles of the 1930s, resulting in some of the most beautiful radios ever seen.

In Hake's Americana & Collectibles current auction (now online at www.hakes.com), Hake's has one of the most beautiful radios of the 1930s, the Model 500 Sparton from 1939. While usually seen in blue, the variety Hake's is offering is a rare orange-yellow color with gold flecks throughout the face. This radio is about as visually appealing a radio as one could hope to find.

This and numerous other great items are now available for your perusal online and the auction closes January 16th through the 18th. For more information, call toll-free, 1-866-404-9800, or check out Hake's website at www.hakes.com.
