Meanwhile on eBay...

As always, there’s some interesting stuff going on…

There was a bit of a Luke Cage motif happening on eBay recently. Kerry Gammill’s Page 1 splash from Powerman & Iron Fist #53 sold for $1,300 after 15 bids, and a 9.2 copy of Luke Cage, Hero For Hire #1 sold for $112.05 after 11 bids. The comic character activity, as usual, was much wider than just that particular Avenger, though.

A CGC-certified 9.6 copy of Doctor Strange #169 (which features one of our all-time favorite covers) brought $661. This seems like a great price for the buyer.

Likewise, an approximately 5.5” x 5” convention sketch of The Rocketeer (circa 1989 San Diego Comic-Con) by his creator, the late Dave Stevens, was a steal at $144 after 10 bids. Frankly, we think that after The Complete Rocketeer comes out from IDW Publishing any day now people we recognize what a deal this was…

What was described in non-specific terms as a “high-grade” copy of Strange Tales #135, which features Nick Fury’s first turn as “Nick Fury, Agent of SHIELD,” sold for $202.49 after 16 bids.
